The Classic League - TT seriesA series of time trials run primarily on Wednesday evenings with finish position decided by handicap. All riders are welcome to ride the events (2nd Claim) but only full Club members will qualify for points. more |
Brian Weatherley 25 ChampionshipThe event began in 1922 and the Brian Weatherley Bowl was first awarded in 1950. The bowl commemorates Brian Weatherley who joined the club in 1947 (age 16) and unfortunately died in 1949 after a short illness from polio. more |
BSCC Strava Monthly ChallengeThe concept is basically akin to what several other cycling clubs already do they nominate a Strava segment (or stretch of road/track) each month, they circulate it around the club , then members ride it as many times as they like over the next 30-odd days in order to try and set their fastest possible time. more |

Uphill / Downhill (The David Hill Memorial Trophy)David Hill was a member who served the club as both Chairman and Time Trial Secretary as well as being a keen cyclist. The Trophy was presented by his family when he died in 1993. The trophy is awarded to the member with the best aggregate result in the Uphill / Downhill competition; points are scored according to position in two events, an up hill time trial, and a down hill freewheel. more |
