Here’s your weekly roundup of news from the club.
- Club 25 TT – Urgent Help needed: This Sunday, 24th March, is the club’s Open 25 TT on the U17, whilst it is too late to get an entry in we do still need some volunteers to help marshal the event. Volunteering is great way to give back to the club and you will be rewarded with VIP points you can use to spend on club kit.
No experience is needed just your time on Sunday morning from 8am to 1pm at the latest, if you can help please contact Jaz. - BSCC Thursday Social this week: The club plans to have pub socials going forwards on the 3rd Thursday of each month. in future month’s we hope to include some activities or talks but the first one is an easy one, drinks and chat in the Tobacco Factory from 7.30pm onwards on 21st March
- Ewan’s Strava Competition Update: 12 members have registered times on Niall Brown’s March segment. It’s a steep one. And it then drags on after a brief chicane. It’s a narrow-road so please go carefully if you’re setting a time – but feel free to add to the list of riders using the existence of other road users as an excuse!
2mins seems to be emerging as a challenging benchmark – but Steve Francis and @Ben Woodhouse are well ahead of that bar. Mark Hannaford was first rider – despite Niall’s pre-work effort – well done, he. These first rider bonus points are getting harder to come by with each passing month!
11 days left to get your efforts in up Clifton Vale. Personally I’ve been finding March a bit wet for my liking. Hopefully sunshine is on the way. - Bike Box for sale: Tom Ilett has a sturdy looking BW Bike Box for sale. If you’re interested reply to this email and we’ll put you in touch.
- Racing News: A quieter weekend on the TT front with Joe Woodley representing the red and gold over the bridge in wales on the 10mile Abercarn R10/16A event by Cardiff Ajax CC. A larger contingent of Tom Burke-Knott, Dan Kempe and Jo Knight-Legge headed south to Bruton for the 18.4miler U303 event run by Gillingham & District Wheelers
