Here’s your weekly roundup of news from the club.
- Ewan’s Strava Competition Update: You have until Sunday to get your entries in to the monthly KOM competition by riding up Clifton Vale. Could be some keen competition for the first rider of next months segment with the 1st being a bank holiday?. Keep your eyes on Strava/Facebook to find out which segment has been chosen for April.
- April Committee meeting – 8th April – The mention of a bank holiday creates a nice segue to let people know that the April committee meeting will be delayed a week to the 8th April to avoid the bank holiday. Usual time and place, (7pm, Rising Sun) just a week later. All welcome to attend.
- Bike Box for sale: Tom Ilett has a sturdy looking BW Bike Box for sale. If you’re interested reply to this email and we’ll put you in touch.
- Racing News:
– The main event was the club’s very own 25 mile TT organised by Jaz Clarke, sadly roadworks reduced the course to 15.5miles but still great to see several club members riding the event with Daniel Kempe, Si Cox and Jo Legge-Knight all posting respectable times.
– Missed from last week was Simon Cox entering the Forest of Dean Mini Enduro, results here. Not the usual BSCC event but he had the MTB fade jersey on so we let him off! He notes that ex-world champions are still very fast!
– Whilst I do look for racing results there are far too many events to check all of them, so if you have done something you would like including next week drop me an email.
