1. Ewan’s Monthly Strava Competition Update: BSCC Monthly Competition Update. A couple of days late, but wouldn’t want to skip a quick summary of May – a classic of the Monthly Challenge genre. 30 BSCC riders took on Kaspar Pedersen‘s quirky climb, with a flurry of late, tailwind attempts. Nick Livermore took the win in the men’s, a couple of seconds ahead of Steve Francis and Cameron Graley. There was little to separate Katherine Brand and Esther Ive in the women’s, Katherine winning by just 3 seconds. Best performance versus expected was Cameron Graley, first rider (I believe) was @Andrew Matthews although I was spotted on the road at a similar time. Overall Will Scott & Nick Livermore are tied in first – great to see 13 riders have ridden all 5 segments to date. Finally, my favourite mention, goes to David Perry and Bence Szabó for averaging >180bpm for their climbs. Mark Hannaford‘s segment for June has already kicked off – so give it a go in the early summer sun.
