Here’s your weekly roundup of news from the club.
- Classic League starts Tonight: The club’s weekly time-trial starts tonight, Weds 10th, it’s an 8.3mile lap of Chew Lake, meet at carpark on Wally Lane from 6:15pm onwards. We do need 2 volunteers every week to run the event, if you can help please put your name down on this rota. Details here
- Fast Tuesday has begun: Last night was the first Fast Tuesday of the year, were you there? Did you survive? Do you want to go again? Good news it will be every week! Meet at the Create Centre at 6.30pm every Tuesday for a 27mile chaingang – More details here
- Club Open 10, Call for volunteers, Sat 13th April: With entries now closed for the club open 10 mile TT, organiser Simon Cox is still looking for volunteers to help run and marshal the event. The only real requirement is your time on Saturday afternoon on the 13th April from 1pm. It’s a great way to give back to the club and you will be rewarded with VIP points which can be used to discount club kit. If you can help please email simon.david.cox@gmail.com
- Club kit order: It’s been a few months since our last order and summer is coming (yes is it!) so you can now order BSCC kit via this link. If it’s your first time you can read about the process here. You have until Sunday April 21st to order. Bioracer are going to make their Epic range available too, which they describe as being more ‘race-oriented’. As always, if you don’t want to wait there is a limited stock held locally that you can try on and/or collect from Nailsea. Details here.
- Mendip Madness: With the continual terrible weather Jon had to cancel the planned Mendip Madness club run last weekend. He’s hoping the weather will play ball for the 21st August
Time trials: - Racing news: Missed from last week, Dan Kempe and Jo Legge-Knight rode the Cardiff 100 Mile RCC 15 mile TT on the R15/5
- Event entry closes 16th April: Part of the WTTA Hardriders: Gloucester City Cycling Club 25 miler on the U72 in Gloucester – 28th April race, enter by 16th April
